Students of St. Peters Engineering College Showcased their Innovative & Creative side at at Specfiesta-An Annual Technical & Cultural Fest of St.Peters Engineering College, Kompally. Students displayed Ornithopter an aircraft that flies by flapping its wings like a bird and is controlled by a Remote- The students named the Ornithopter as “Robo-Bird”. The Innovation is being termed as Robo-Bird, because-Ornithopter is made of light fiber material which is controlled by 4-channel remote-to navigate its flight, control wings and to control directions.

Ornithopter named Robo Bird is the idea of the students of St.Peters Engineering College, the making of robo bird was inspired by Mr.Nanda Kumar of Chennai who has spent 14 years in studying about Ornithopters and its manufacturing- Mr. Nanda Kumar hails from Chennai and was present on the occasion to see students fly their first flight at their college.

On the Occasion-Mr. T. V Reddy Correspondent St.Peters Engineering College said that the innovations, Research & Development are the most important terms today, we are came up with this spectacular event which showcases creative & Innovative side of students. Students displayed Hovercrat, Robots, Drones, Ornithopter, Quad copter, etc. and they danced to the Sunburn which performed for the our college.
The “Specfiesta-2015”-also showcased many innovations and great ideas-some of the innovations showcased at the Specfiesta-2015 were Hovercraft race, Drag race by drag cars, Drones, quad copters, robo race and many such innovations & creative ideas was showcased by students of St.Peters Engineering College at Specfiesta-2015.

SARTEK & ElektroVertz & Sartek performed live at Sunburn Campus event. The Second day of specfiesta will have fashion shows, DJ wars & many music events.
