Kangana Ranaut has always been notorious for hyperbole. She is contesting as an MP on a BJP ticket from Himachal Pradesh. Addressing a rally today, the 'Queen' and 'Manikarnika' actress claimed that she is the most recognizable actress across India. She went on to say that her popularity comes next only to Amitabh Bachchan, the Bollywood Megastar who is a household name across India.
Netizens are ridiculing her for the exaggerated claim. "Kangana's last hit film came in 2015, later which she delivered back-to-back fifteen flops. Here, she is comparing herself to Amitabh Bachchan," a Twitter user wrote.
Kangana has been a vocal supporter of the BJP for the past many years. She supported the Modi regime over the CAA and the Farm Reform Bills enacted in 2020. She is expected to win comfortably in the upcoming polls.
