A day following the backing of Pawan Kalyan by numerous Tollywood figures, the YSRCP turned its attention towards Megastar Chiranjeevi, with Posani Krishna Murali taking aim on Wednesday.
At a presser today, Posani accused Chiranjeevi of being a sellout. "His Praja Rajyam Party won 18 seats in the 2009 Assembly elections. Just three weeks after saying that his MLAs were not on sale, he himself merged his party with the Congress. As a reward, he was made a Minister of State. Did he stick to politics even after that? No. Once his term was over, he quit politics," Posani said.
Posani had previously been critical of Pawan Kalyan but had refrained from targeting Chiru. However, Chiranjeevi's recent plea to Pithapuram voters to support his younger brother prompted Posani, aligned with the ruling party, to unleash verbal attacks.
